A customer recently had an electric stairway elevator installed, but the wiring required to make it operational was not part of the installation.  With no electrical socket near the point of installation, it was up to me to find a minimally intrusive way to make the connection.

After examining the layout of the house I found the closest wiring connection to be beneath the stairs, and set about drilling through the walls (and closets!) to route the power cable to the socket.

This oddly placed socket turned out to be ideal.  It was hidden in a 1st floor closet, but easily accessible.
